Having your Wedding at a Bed and Breakfast

With the popular months May and June coming up we though we would write a short version of our thoughts on Wedding Etiquette. Starting first with who pays. Times have changes just in ten years. It is no longer just the bride’s family it seems like all three families are involved. Parent’s of the bride, Parents of the Groom and the Bride and Groom themselves. This has got to be nerve racking. That many deciding who’s, whom’s and the sharing of expenses. I just read up on the formal and informal wedding. Wow, this is a profitable business to be in.

A small intimate wedding at a Bed and Breakfast Inn sounds like the answer to me. I checked some B&B/Inns and found they have done their homework. Everything from who will perform the ceremony, to a sit down dinner, the wedding cake to the Honeymoon suite. Takes a lot of pressure off both sets of parents and yourself. There are still a lot of social rules to abide by. A great thing to do is get yourself a Web Site and posting the important information because as the big day approaches your guests may have forgotten something such as you as no children be included and they show up with their 9 kids.  This will be a continued article so till next time before May I hope…Getting married is a great experience.

  1. B&B’s are the very best venue for an intimate first or second wedding! Families will be treated and feel more at home. It’s a place to return to for honeymoon traditions.
Explore a B&B!! A lot less costly than you expect.

  2. Great idea on the second wedding Dianne

  3. We regulary have honeymoon couples in. Whilst we are not licensed for weddings on the premises we try and ‘push the boat’ to ensure the stay for the happy couple is as memorable as possible.
