Last Minute Specials for Labor Day
I hope your family is not like our family “wait until the last minute” to decide what to do for any holiday. I have been on the net looking for a Bed and Breakfast Inn that has last minute Specials and maybe two room. First though I would like to acknowledge all the workers who’s strength has made us who we are as Americans. Did you know that according to records found on the Internet Labor Day originated in Canada in the 1870′s. In the US the first Labor day Day was celebrated on September 5th 1882 after the death of workers by the US Military & US Marshals. You will have to search that one out yourself. Today it really is a day of rest and celebration. Just wanted to include this litte bit of information in remembrance of all those who worked and died for us right here in our own country.
Well, back to trying to organize our holiday. Since we will not be going to New England until early October for the Foliage and coming back by way of New Orleans to celebrate a Special Birthday looks like we are South Carolina bound, we can choose from water front properties, Charleston where the history, food and B&B Inns are so great, Greenville where there are beautiful sweeping mountains, most B&B Inns have fabulous spas, elegant rooms, and you can depend on a full country breakfast or even a gourmet breakfast waiting for you, afternoon teas and some of the beautiful B&B Inns offer fine dining. Well, I better check the availability and decide who to call about the last minute Specials. Wishing you all a very Fun Labor Day. Drive safely. There are still more Holidays this year to celebrate. Talk to you soon.
