5 Romantic US Beaches
The few beaches we have covered here are all worth visiting. The summer is such a short season but one that everyone looks forward to. Summer romance, summer vacations and next summer all have a beach somewhere in them. We love the soft silky sand and the sand that is not so soft with tiny little shells, beautiful sunshine and the smell of sun tan lotion. Find your special beach this summer don’t wait until next summer and make your life time memories.
Acadia National Park, Maine
One state that is really popular in the summer is Maine, the coastline with it’s rocky beaches, beautiful sail boats and some of the coldest waters to swim in are on Route 1A and offer a long line of beaches from York Harbor, to Ogunquit with it’s soft white sand. Old Orchard Beach it great and so well known for not only it’s beautiful sandy beach but it’s amusement park, fantastic food and handsome lifeguards. Know wonder it has been voted the number one beach for years.
Visiting the fantastic Acadia National Park you will not be disappointed they have a smaller beach and it is beautiful. The water a little on the cold side but worth the time to stop and enjoy.
Only a few minute south of Portland is the beautiful beach at Crescent Beach State Park with great white sand. Smaller but a lovely quiet place for the romantic at heart.
When you visit Maine, the food is amazing lobster, fiddlehead’s, new little potatoes are my favorite. I love fishing for rainbow trout and sitting by the fantastic lakes. Listening to the waves slapping the shore is so relaxing.
Maine is a very romantic state. We always talk about the cities and towns below Bangor soon we will give you more information on Northern Maine known as the “County”
Ocean Beach Park in New London, Ct.
is known for it’s family entertainment. The beach itself is great and there are so many fun things to do. Engrave your family name on the boardwalk, there is even a health club to look out over the beach while you work out, bring your blanket on Tuesday nights and watch an open air movie, live music and so much more going on at the Ocean Beach Park in New London, CT. Laguna Beach a west coast beach and very unlike east coast beaches consists of eroded shales and sandstone. The water is not clear like the east coast. The water seldom is higher than 75 degrees on a warm day. The area is beautiful and enjoyable and highly recommended.
