Top 5 Best Football Tailgating Cities
As the NFL Football season starts today I thought it would be appropriate to look at some of the better tailgate party towns the NFL has to offer. As many football fans know, tailgating is as much apart of the game as Touchdown celebrations, bad calls, or watching your favorite team in the stands with no shirt on in sub zero temperatures. Remember you don’t have to live in the city to enjoy these parking lot BBQ’s, each on of the fallow towns has great inns for you to stay at.
Green Bay – Lambeau Field
Bring the Bratwursts to this small town atmosphere, The Green Bay Packers sport some of the most loyal fans in all of athletics. You will be inundated with the Green and Gold of the teams colors as 60,000 “Cheese Head” fans pack (no pun intended) the stadium. Lambeau Field is a must on any tailgate tour.

For me, eating grilled food in the autumn air while anticipating the spectacle of grown men in tights is one of my favorite fall pastimes. Washing these grilled delights down with an ice cold Iron City, Rolling Rock (before they were bought out by Anheuser Bush), or Straub beer (no sugar added!) completes the perfect football outing for me.
Wearing an opposing team’s jersey to a Steelers tailgate? No fear, this is NOT Philadelphia. You’ll surely get some good hearted ribbing, but nothing to be too alarmed about.
