Fast quick lunch!
Ham and Cheese Sandwich
- mayonnaise
- whole loaf of homemade bread cut into 3/4″ to 1″ slices
- swiss cheese (or your choice)
- 1 pound of ham
- real butter
- grated parmesan cheese
Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread and place one slice of swiss cheese, ham, and repeat on the mayo side.
Add the other slice of bread then butter the outsides of the sandwiches adding a little of the parmesan cheese onto the butter.
Have your frying pan warm not to hot because you do not want to burn. Fry each of the sandwiches until cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.
Quarter the ham and cheese sandwich and serve with coleslaw, dill pickle and chips. Fast and delicious. I like mine with a cold ice cream float. Enjoy.
