Perfect Labor Day Burgers

Having a BBQ this Labor Day Weekend and want to impress your guests with gourmet style hamburgers that wont break your budget and will taste great. Then try this quick recipe that is sure to be a big hit with everyone.

Prep time: 40 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Ready In: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • 1 Pound of Ground Beef (90% Fat Free or More)
  • ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • ½ tsp ground chili pepper
  • ¼ cup of dried onions
  • ¼ tsp sugar
  • 1 teaspoon garlic
  • 5 slices of Swiss Cheese

Dry Rub

Take the salt, black pepper, chili pepper, dried onions, sugar, garlic, and mix into a small bowl.

Directions

  1. Take medium bowl and add ground beef then pour over ½ cup of extra virgin olive oil
  2. Add dry rub from small bowl.
  3. Mix Dry Rub and Ground Beef together
  4. Make into patty’s (remember to make patty’s flat so they will be evenly cooked)
  5. Place Patty’s on cooking sheet and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes
  6. Oil or spay the grill grates and preheat to 450 degrees
  7. Cook for 8-10 minutes on each side or to derided taste.
  8. Add Swiss cheese during final minute of cooking

*note turn only once per side so as to keep burgers from coming out dry
