The Grey Whale Inn was built in 1915 by the Union Lumber Company and offers vacation lodging amidst comfort of Mendocino Coast elegance. The Inn is a classic architecture of old-growth redwood and is a premier Bed and Breakfast in historic downtown Fort Bragg. Within walking distance of top-rated restaurants, art galleries, a culinary center, and the historic downtown shopping area. The Grey Whale Inn is spacious with 13 rooms spread over three floors. Our 13 cottage style rooms feature heritage quilts and accessories. Cozy to spacious, all have ocean, garden or town and hill views. Each has a private bath, phone, and TV. Most have fireplaces, wireless access, VCR/DVD’s and some have kitchenettes. The penthouse rooms, Sunrise and Sunset, have sweeping panoramic views, private sundecks and king beds. Sunrise also has a double Jacuzzi tub. Numerous guest common areas provide for group or individual relaxation Dine in our craftsman dining area with lovely fireplace.
