About Martinez y Ewens Anasazi Ranch

The Martinez y Ewens Anasazi Ranch continues the Martinez family tradition of hospitality and ranching for over 200 years in Northern New Mexico. The ranch house is located at 8300 ft below the 13,000 ft Jicarita Peak in the Sangre de Cristo mountains.. The view from the ranch is breathtaking. Five streams harboring Brown trout pass through the land. We border the 1.5 million acre Carson Forest. You may roam the property and children may try for fish in the streams.

The bed and breakfast operates from May to November. The ranch offers light evening snacks like Chicken Quesedilla and a delicious, hot, northern New Mexico breakfast like a Taos Green Chile Egg Bake or a Taos Quiche, served with local area fruits and berries and hot tortillas with home made Chokecherry Jam. We provide instruction and guided trout fly fishing trips into the high country of New Mexico where Rio Grande Cutthroats, browns and rainbows may be found.

We also provide guided day hikes into the high country of New Mexico. We may encounter deer, elk and Big Horn sheep.

We are 30 minutes from Taos, renowned center of art and crafts and museums, as well as the Taos Pueblo, over 1000 yrs old. Guided assistance in locating local artists is provided.
Relax and enjoy the beauty and artist-inspired views of Northern New Mexico..
